Entry Level - Rock Mechanics & Materials Testing Technician

GeoLogic is looking for an Entry Level Rock Mechanics & Materials Testing Lab Technician to join our fast-growing firm located in Marietta, Georgia (bordering Woodstock). We are a dynamic, close-knit team in search of another team player! The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with testing and analyzing rock and soil samples in our lab.

Prior geology lab experience and/or geology background is not required for this position, but would be beneficial. Training will be provided. This full-time position is available starting in July 2024. Hours are Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, with occasional weekend work.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, dependable, self-starter who is teachable and willing to learn, with a positive "can do" attitude.

Compensation: $17-18/hour + Company benefits

Job Duties

Assist the Laboratory Manager with testing and analysis of rock and soil samples

Qualifications

- Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis

- Legal authorization to work in the United States (confirmed via E-Verify)

- Ability to successfully pass a background check, drug screen, and OSHA physical

- Clean driving record

*Local residence within 20-mile radius of Marietta, Georgia (no relocation expenses will be paid)*
